I go through your health history, your pains, your needs and discuss your health goals. I take the time to listen, understand your needs and wants from a safe and non-judgmental space as you share your thoughts and experiences.
Our comprehensive assessment includes a thorough evaluation of your posture, spine and any required orthopaedic and neurological tests. Should further evaluation or referral to other healthcare professionals be necessary, we discuss these options post-assessment.
Following your initial consultation, I analyse all gathered information, crafting a care plan tailored to your individual needs which we review together at your next visit.
Chiropractic adjustments don’t take long because as soon as we release the pressure on your trapped nerves relating to your spine, your body will make an instant change. Most clients report a feeling of comfort and improved range of motion straight after their adjustment.
There are over 300 techniques in chiropractic so if there are certain adjustments you don’t like, there are so many other ways to adjust your body! Adjustments are safe and non-invasive and all necessary tests are done in your initial consultation to find the techniques best suitable for your body.
I use a combination of kinesiology and Chinese meridian points to find and address stagnant emotions within your body. By clearing these emotional blockages, we facilitate the release of old traumas that may have become stuck in your system overtime.
This process not only helps with physical pain and stress responses but also addresses underlying problems such as PTSD, depression, anxiety and self-sabotaging behaviours. Ultimately, it guides your body towards a state of ease, allowing you to embrace a more present and stress free existence in your everyday life.
The first physical trauma we usually endure is the process of being born. Birth can place a great amount of stress on your bub's spine and nervous system. This can then impact the way their brain and body communicates to one another, and eventually impact their health.
Some signs your baby may have dysfunction between their spine and nervous system:
-Colic
-Excessive reflux or vomiting
-Constipation or bloating
-Excessive crying
-Unsettled in car seat
-Latching issues/pulling off breast when feeding
-Breast preference
-Head preference to one side
-Disturbed sleep/hard to put down for naps
-Traumatic birth
Your child doesn't just "grow out of it" the best thing you can do for them is get their spine and nervous system's checked as soon as possible!
An initial consultation for your baby or child includes an in-depth history taking, a comprehensive test assessing their development, all primitive and deep tendon reflexes, assessment of all their joints, ruling out of possible DDH and spinal assessments.
